Bob joined the staff of FBCD in April of 1999. Bob oversees the educational programming at FBCD while also serving as staff coordinator and program coordinator. 

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from East Texas State University and a Master of Arts degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is also a speaker and conference leader on the state, regional and national levels.  

Bob has previously served on the staff of the Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler from 1989-1999; the Kingwood First Baptist Church in Houston from 1982-1989; The Spring Hill First Baptist Church in Longview from 1980-82; and the First Baptist Church in Savoy from 1978-80.   

Bob says his priorities are simple:  "After my relationship with God my number one priority is my family." 

Debbie and Bob have been married for 32 years.  They met at the BSU at East Texas State University in August of 1976.  They were married a year later in August of 1977.   

Debbie is in her 18th year of teaching kindergarten and is currently a teacher at Pecan Creek Elementary School in Denton.  Debbie loves spending time with her family and she loves to shop.  Debbie teaches 5-year olds on Sunday mornings at FBCD.

Jared (27) is married to Krystal and they have two beautiful, highly intelligent daughters;   Karoline (3) and Klaire Grace (2).  And yes…they both love their Granddad.  Jared is also the Praise & Worship Leader at First Baptist Church in Irving.

Brandon (23) is married to Brigette and they are currently on the youth ministry staff & children’s ministry staff at Second Baptist Church Houston (Pearland Campus). Brandon is also a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Houston Campus).

Ryan (19) ……and is currently a freshman business major at Texas A&M Commerce.

The Billups' family resides in Sundown Ranch, a Denton subdivision, and can be found at 3705 Lake Country Dr.
