Since 1997 Dr. Jeff Williams has been the senior pastor of First Baptist Church.  After more than a decade Jeff and his family are proud to call Denton their home.  During Jeff’s time as pastor of First Baptist the church has added numerous ministries and has purchased 90 acres of land on the North side of Denton for future relocation.  First Baptist also added a second campus in September 2007: First Denton East currently meets at Navo Middle School.

Jeff has pastored two other Texas churches.  Grace Baptist in China Spring, and First Baptist Pleasanton.  He is an overly proud graduate of Baylor University and earned his Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth.  When the weather is good you can find Jeff chasing a little white ball in the trees at area golf courses!

After his relationship with Jesus Christ, Jeff’s number one priority is his family.  He met his wife Tami at Baylor University when she was a senior and he a junior. (Yes, she is older than him!)  They were married two weeks after Jeff’s graduation and have enjoyed 22 years of marital bliss! (At least that is Jeff’s side of the story!)

Tami is a fourth grade teacher at Gennings Elementary School, plays the keyboard in the orchestra and is a leader in the First Baptist Women’s Ministry.  Tami and Jeff have two great children.

Ryan is a Sophomore at Oklahoma State University.  Go Pokes!

Alyssa is a sophomore at Billy Ryan High School and a Varsity Cheerleader. Alyssa is very involved in the student ministry at First Baptist.

The Williams have two other members of their family “Champ” is a three year old Golden Retriever (Jeff’s Dog!) and “Raider” is a black and white cat (Not Jeff’s!)  The Williams love spending time with other families and would love to have you over to swim in their pool and get to know you better.  You might even see a wild hog while at their house!
