Jim just came to FBC in May of this year. (Still looking for a house- spread the word) Jim has served churches in Dallas and Marshall, Texas, Memphis, Tennessee, and Richland Hills, Texas in several different ministry positions but always including church administration.  Jim is an officer of the Dallas Chapter of The National Association of Church Business Administration and has served as consultant and workshop leader in this area throughout this part of the country.

Jim holds several degrees and certifications and is currently trying to complete a doctorate at SWBTS in Ft. Worth.  His primary area of study includes ministry to the disabled in the church setting. Jim is passionate about this area of ministry and is regularly involved in helping churches reach those with special needs.

Jim has been married to Jo-Ellen for 28 years.  They met when they were both serving in the United States Air Force.  Jo-Ellen is a very successful homeschooler who is very dedicated to her family.  The Markles have 3 children:

Rachel is currently a student at SWBTS majoring in Missiology.  She wants to be a missionary to Japan. 

Brent is the family’s 18 year old bundle of energy.  Brent is autistic and brings a refreshing dose of reality to chaotic schedule of this busy family.

Aaron is 13 years old and a big baseball fan.  You can ask him a trivia question but you better have some time on your hands.

The Markles are very excited about beginning ministry at FBCD and hope to be a part of this church family for many, many years.
