Background
Scott grew up in Garland, Texas, and is the son of a Pastor. He was saved at an early age and was called to the ministry in the 6th grade. He was a full-time youth pastor by the age of 19 and has been working in churches and speaking at conferences, youth camps and events ever since. His passion in life is to help people discover and follow Jesus by using his gifts through the local church.

Education
Scott graduated from Howard Payne University in 2002 with a BA in Practical Theology. He is currently attending B.H. Carroll Institute and is pursuing a M.A.C.E degree, with only 6 hours remaining to complete his degree. He is anticipating finishing up in the fall. He was licensed to preach in 1999 and was ordained in 2006.

Hobbies
Scott’s hobbies include almost all sports and a great game called golf. He also loves to hang out with college students, watch movies, and play Frisbee with his dog, Cooper.

We are very excited about the future of the university ministry at FBC Denton. With 40,000 plus college students in our realm of influence, we have an amazing opportunity to have an incredible impact on the lives of many students. By offering a small-group based intimate community, college students are going to be able to, once again, find a home at First Baptist.
