The Purpose
The Purpose of the Prayer Ministry is to provide prayer support for individuals as well as the ministries of the church. Christians will develop a strong prayer life through participation in the Prayer Room and opportunities in prayer groups and seminars as well as bible studies on prayer. The ministry is designed to enable the church to remain focused on the importance of prayer in individual and church life.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Intercessory Prayer Ministry is a vital part of First Baptist Church. Intercessors pray for specific needs of individuals as well as for the ministers and ministries of the church. The Prayer Ministry undergirds the work of the church and offers encouragement for individuals.

"If there is famine in the land or pestilence, blight, mildew, locust, or caterpillar, if their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is, whatever prayer or supplication is made by any or all of Your people Israel--each man knowing the affliction of his own heart, and spreading forth his hands toward this house [and its pledge of Your presence]--Then hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, and forgive and act and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart You know, for You and You only know the hearts of all the children of men."
1 Kings 8:37-39 (Amplified Bible)

Each person reading this has had some form of 'blight' sweep over their life.  We have had a minute in time change everything. Call out to Jesus if such a time of enemy attack is in your life. Call out to Jesus, family of FBCD.  The pledge of His presence has been given to us in His Holy Word and through His Holy Spirit.

Pray and ask our Lord whether or not to pray for others as part of the Prayer Ministry. Needs have been shared, and people need the blessing of prayer support to strengthen and sustain in times of famine or attack. Your own struggles will be used in the light of our Lord, not only as a weapon against the enemy, but as an obedient offering of worship and honor for the Lord Jesus Christ. Call the church office to inquire about the ministry of prayer at FBCD.
