"You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8
The Missions Ministry is one of the key focuses of First Denton and one of our main goals is to ensure we empower, equip and mobilize our church body in accomplishing the Great Commission (make disciples, baptize, and teach people to obey everything Jesus commanded) in all four areas outlined in Acts 1:8.
In our context, the verse encourages believers to actively engage our city, Denton, our state, Texas, our continent, North America, and the rest of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The First Denton Mission Council is broken into four teams that work together to continue making First Denton's mission endeavors more effective in our use of resources and participants by strategically focusing on the following priorities:
- Unreached People Groups
- Unchurched Population
- Church Planting
- Leadership Development
- Education
- Humanitarian Aid
- Ministering to Orphans and Widows
Each year, we have events and trips that give you the opportunity to engage in all four areas of Jesus' mission mandate. If you are interested in joining in our effort to spread the Gospel everywhere from Denton to the ends of the earth check out our
2013 Mission Trips or you can give to our
World Mission Offering.
