About Special Needs Ministry
rejoicingspirits-logo.png

Rejoicing Spirits is an innovative ministry which reaches out to enrich the spiritual lives of people with intellectual /developmental disabilities, their families, friends and other supportive community members. The service includes lots of music and joyous singing, along with brief, meaningful messages. Especially important is that it is a shush-free environment. 100_0086second.JPG

Upcoming Events:

"Interacting with the Disabled" is a 3 week series designed to help us learn more about welcoming, engaging, and fellowshipping with the disabled.  We will begin April 15th, at 5 PM, in room S111. Over the three Sundays we will discuss proper etiquette with the disabled, the programs we have going on at FBC Denton, and have a time of fellowship with our friends in this community, including a very specal guest speaker.  If you have ever felt interested in this ministry but did not know how to get started, here is your opportunity.

"Celebrating Mom at Camp Copass" - May 12th will be a great day for our families as we celebrate Mother's Day a day early at Camp Copass. This will be a respite day for families and care-givers with tons of great outside events. It will also be a great day of events for our special friends as they will have a "buddy" to spend the day with as they enjoy the events at Camp Copass. Call Jim Markle if you are interested as we have a limited amount of reservations.

** Because of scheduling conflicts and our busy summer schedule, the Rejoicing Spirits Worship Services have been suspended until August.  Stay tuned for further information.
