We need your help in collecting backpacks for Denton ISD students, aged preschool through high school. DISD does NOT require clear backpacks. They welcome all kinds - girl or boy, decorated or not - whatever sturdy backpacks you would like that would last the student through the school year. These will be distributed at the two Back to School Fairs in late July. Please bring your donations by the church office at your convenience.
The Blessing Tree at First Denton allows church members to anonymously request help, and fellow members can joyfully assist by providing Christmas gifts. Participation is exclusive to First Denton members, verified upon registration. Kindly register by November 15, and you will be notified when your gifts are ready for pick-up. (Parents, please register as a parent and add each child using the '+ add someone else' button on the next page.)
Our Missions Ministry is starting Denton Family Christmas preparations! We are asking for monetary donations all month long that will support our DISD partner schools for families in need this Christmas. Please stop by the Christmas Tree in either the Foyer or the Hub and grab an ornament with an item's dollar amount to donate this month. You can give in person anytime with the memo "Christmas in July" or by giving online & selecting the dropdown titled "Christmas in July." We couldn't support our community without your help, thank you so much!
We need 25+ volunteers to help host an Indoor Park Party at Rivera Elementary. This includes setting up, running the event and packing up. We encourage you to bring your whole family and serve our community together! We also are in need to Spanish Speakers for this event!
The First Sunday of every month we are collecting food donations for our partner ministry, First Refuge. Bring your donations in a bag and set them outside the back of your car in our parking lot and we will collect for you and take to First Refuge. If you need a sturdy bag to pack your donated items in, you can pick one up any Sunday at the Guest Central desk in the Hub. Food donations they are requesting include: Peanut Butter, Jelly Hamburger helper, Canned soup, Canned pasta, Cereal, Toiletries, Canned fruit, Ramen noodles, Pudding and Jello cups, Granola bars, Canned meats and other money donations.
Serve Together is a Denton Baptist Association Event for all churches in association at Camp Copass. We will be packing food that will be sent to underprivileged countries along with the Gospel Message. You can choose to pack at either 3:00pm or 4:15pm. You can register on DBA website.

Help serve at one of our local missions partners! This Serve Day will consist of helping out with Spring yard work, repairs and maintenance around 2 of their Denton homes.
One of the ways we live out our faith is by serving others right here in our own community. We’re excited to share a couple of upcoming opportunities to serve alongside our local church partners. These are great ways to make a tangible difference, build relationships, and be the hands and feet of Jesus. Please take a moment to review these opportunities and prayerfully consider serving.Thank you for your willingness to serve and for the many ways you continue to love our community so well. We especially encourage you to invite your youth volunteers (ages 16 and up) to participate. This is a great opportunity for younger individuals to get involved, as the work will not require the use of power tools and is well-suited for all experience levels. Interior Paint day will be April 25th and Exterior Landscape Day will be June 6th. Please sign up for all that you're interested in as they are separate registrations.
