Elder Board

Introduction

First Denton is transitioning to an Elder-led model of church governance beginning January 1, 2026, as part of and in accordance with the church’s newly adopted bylaws. These bylaws—approved by the church body—establish a structure in which the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor serve as Vocational (Staff) Elders, and the remaining members of the Elder Board are composed of five Lay (Volunteer) Elders.

Below are the five Lay Elder candidates who will be presented for church affirmation on December 7, 2025.

Each candidate’s profile includes a full biography for you to read and prayerfully consider. We encourage every member of our church family to take time to learn about these men, pray for them, and seek the Lord’s guidance as we move forward in this significant step for our church.
