Waiting can bring a sense of expectation and anticipation. There are times that I see God answer my prayers right away. Then, there are those other times when my prayers linger and answers seem far away.
One of the characteristics of modern life seems to be that we are moving at an ever-increasing rate. Let’s be honest, it is rather easy to be busy. We all can make a list of tasks that will overwhelm our daily lives.
I absolutely love adventure. In February, I joined some friends at Big Bend Ranch State Park to participate in the Chihuahuan Desert Bike Fest. I arrived a couple of days early to do some hiking on the mountain trails. I don’t often hike solo but on this occasion, it provided me with the solitude I was seeking.
We are just three weeks into the new teaching series at First Denton entitled: Changed People, Changing Lives. On Sunday, the message focused on one of our core values we call Relentless Love. When I first heard the words relentless and love together, I had to stop and ponder the meanings of both words.
